Research Interests
Dubhe Carre帽o鈥檚 ceramic work is designed and handcrafted to offer perfectly simple forms inspired by a minimalist aesthetic and the colors and textures found in nature. Forms are intentionally irregular highlighting the presence of the artist鈥檚 hand, which honors the clay鈥檚 voice as an active participant and collaborator in the process of creating each individual form. Dubhe鈥檚 work aims to celebrate the simplicity and beauty of everyday rituals by enhancing the experience of holding a warm cup of tea or serving sliced peaches in a porcelain bowl.
