Research Interests
Jarin Moriguchi is a Chicago-based designer from Honolulu. His practice is centered around brand design and building highly customized websites from scratch. He also makes fonts, occasionally.
Jarin鈥檚 work is inspired by speculative fiction, cinematic world-building, user interfaces he finds puzzling, and good books that he reads. Current projects include interrogating form and legibility through designing custom typography, as well as making fonts about tofu and other things. Moriguchi also designs websites that challenge the user. He is fascinated by how provocative, yet thoughtful digital interfaces can act as a conduit for story and influence a user's experience viscerally. He also designs alternative publications and cool PDFs with new and long-time collaborators for the unofficial Workers Comp enterprise.
