Our Urban Community Studies program will help you build upon a foundation of experience and skills to propel your career forward. The program places intense emphasis on preparing students for scholar/activist work that addresses the interests and issues of urban residents, particularly communities of color. Our dedicated faculty and multi-layered approach combine theory, research and practice so that graduates have the knowledge and qualities needed to make a difference in society.
