Mindfulness Meditation
At our Mindfulness Meditation sessions, you will learn and practice how to relax your body and calm your mind through:
- Gentle body movement
- Breathing techniques
- Guided meditation
- Silent meditation
Who is eligible?
NEIU students, faculty and staff are all eligible to attend meditation sessions.
How do I sign up?
You do not need to sign up as we offer drop-in sessions. The group is offered throughout the academic year. The times and days for the Mindfulness Meditation group for the Fall semester will be updated in August.
Do I need prior meditation experience?
All levels of experience are welcome.
How long does the session last?
Each session lasts about 40-45 minutes.
Do I need to attend every week?
You are welcome to attend a session anytime you would like.
What should I wear?
No special clothing is necessary. Everyday attire is fine as long as it allows you to do gentle stretching exercises.
